Llenay is the acting CEO of Ten Thousand Villages, an importer and retail network in the US. She shares the long and proud history of Ten Thousand Villages, and her story of helping grow the maker-to-market movement in the US and North America. She gives insights on bringing ethical products to the US market and telling the story of the makers to the consumers.

Dear Llenay Ferretti i,m new here and interested to work with you, organization with few individuals, including our Ancetrals. About hundred years ago, they started making carvings for their own, such as flower vases, pipes and bowls for drin- king water, milk, as well as for keeping foods. They used local pangas, axes and othe shape metals for carvings. Tamokcub project is non profit organization founded in Kenya, specifically in the western part of the country. It has been founded by local volunteers. It has already a hundred artisans which make various handcrafts. The project has been created to assist the development of a sustainable industry using those native resources that are readily available.
